| We celebrated my cousin's graduation (and Mary's) at Sammy's Trattoria, an Italian joint in Mt. Vernon |
I worked the front desk at work | Dinner with Mary's folks was enjoyable with pasta and cannoli | We were in DC when Todd told me to take a picture of this theatre for SAMETIME | The "B Bistro" in Bolton Hill is a charming establishment | My nana's broom is now mine | A colorful serial killer van | We bought a guidebook for trees, now I'll never look at
another tree without wondering what someone has named it |
Auto repair waiting station | In the land of barbeque there are many images of hogs. S&S Caterers is directly across the street from, where I work |
Post-spring / pre-summer purgatory flowers | The unconscious art of graffiti removal | A good old-fashioned nap | This is on the facade of a restaurant on Bellevue Avenue- not far from
where we live. When I see this word all I can think to do is add "Anna" to the front of it |
Mary's mesmerizing skirt | The first night we were in Frostburg, we went with Kim's mom to watch her cousin play baseball |
This picture was taken at 8:30 because I got us lost at Swallow Falls walking along boulders and rapids for about 3 hours. It was a harrowing adventure and a narrow escape. |
At Mr Lisa's 50th birthday party I saw Patsy. We met in 1994 and
although I don't see much of him these days, history is more powerful than time or geography |
A nice goodwill find! | Driving back to Richmond, assessing the exciting weekend | Newman from Seinfled is excited about Mary's foot | Fortunately we brought popcorn along to the theatre- it was the only good thing about seeing Waitress |
I'm finally sending my albums out to reviewers | It's not that I so much mind the statues of confederate heroes in Richmond-- but I think their presence keeps people too rooted in memories of war |
Beautiful draperies at a restaurant | I crashed Leah Lamb's writers' retreat in Ashland | This is the result on my wall from my free paint sample endeavor | Pretending like I am napping (but really hoping that Brad took a picture of himself napping again) |
Now I am napping! | Assessing | Mary SAMETIME'd me as we were driving | Todd and I rocked the Capitol Hill garden club! | It was a bit stormy over the weekend, but it was nice to have the pollen out of the air | My digi broke early Sunday while I was in DC, so I used Todd's camera phone to take this picture of us toasting before we played music for his parents' friends |
New curtains are making sleeping in much easier | One of RVA's wonders | Painter pants and dirty mirror | I'm surprised I haven't taken this picture before | Walking to the restroom to take a shower | Kim went to a going away sushi-feast for her pal Chris, author of the blog Post-Grad Nothing |
Joseph looks up at me, waiting for my keys to be tossed down to him | I think this is an Elm tree. Then again, I think
every tree with toothed leaves and furrowed bark is an Elm |
People are running to celebrate something I'm not aware of | Of course you remembered that June is National Accordion Awareness Month! | Bryant & Jenny's apartment was graciously lent to Mary and I for a night | Getting ready for SiteProjects DC | Driving somewhere in Massachusetts, almost to Boston! | Man Shark! | We stayed at the YWCA hostel in the Back Bay Area of Boston, not the nicest establishment ever - but a good location |
Considering the situation (Ashley, Dan, Sonja, Darryl,
Virgil, Joan, Jerry, Susan and Richard) this is underwhelming |
The "T" is a great subway system | Talkin' to mama! | Caolan & Paul eat dinner in the Berkshires | I went to see a play with my parents at the Studio Theatre in DC. Mom drove | Caolan is working at the poet Amy Clampitt's old house for the summer, and invited us to stay |
Kate, myself, and a guy with a dog after installing my work for SiteProjects-- Kate was an excellent assistant |
Looking at clouds in Pennsylvania | Kim and Michelle reading (despite the lack of words) | My dad gets to celebrate Father's Day and his Birthday at once since they're so close together |
Well suited and happy to be back in RVA with WRIR, WCLM and all the other apt acronyms |
Mary, the Sarajevo '84 gym bag, and I all made it back to Baltimore safely | We rounded out a great weekend with pizza and beer at Mary Angela's in Carytown |
